The Aryan Brotherhood: A notoriously deadly organization: This particular gang is said to be the largest and most harmful. The gender makeup is mostly white males. The Aryan Brotherhood orignitated in the San Quentin State Prison in 1967. Although they orginiated in California, there are many other states prisons with members of this dangerous gang. As for their enemies/rivals, the Aryan Brotherhood has never really took a liking to the hispanic or African American gangs such as La Nuestra Familia, Crips, Bloods, and El Rukns. There are specific ways for them to all get along for the time being. They use African American gangs to buy and sell drugs to, There are many white gangs that the AB (Aryan Brotherhood) is compatible with. Being compatible with so many white gangs makes for confusing in determining who belongs to what gang. There are many symbols and inatiation tactics that need to be taken before becoming an actual member. You must take an oath that will prove that you are taking a lifelong allegiance to the gang. You must finish an act of violence before getting your "full" membership title. The AB are mainly known for drug trafficking, internal discipline, and contraband. What makes them so dangerous is that they get past the security rules and regualtions. Being a white gang makes it very difficult for authority to tie them all together. Once the member is released to the real world, they are then used to carry out acts of violence for those who are still behind bars.

Symbols and Meanings

This is one symbol used to identify a member of the Aryan Brotherhood. This is a shamrock clover leaf. They use this to code communication. Also the initials "AB" are shown representing Aryan Brotherhood. also used in this symbol is a swastika. This is a common tattoo you'd see on any member.

This is a member of the AB and he killed a convicted child killer in order to avenge the childs death. You see he has a giant tattoo of the words "WHITE POWER" across his forehead. He is a proud member of the all white gang. You can also see in the corner of his eys are tattoos of tear drops. The tear drops represent the number of people he has killed.

Here you see another swastika with a sword and shield. Again you have the letters AB. Below the tattoo you see the word "TEXAS". Group members that are from other states tend to put the state they are from to represent the AB outside of California, where the gang was created.
